Regional Travel Options
Metro’s Regional Travel Options program administers CarpoolMatchNW, the rideshare matching service serving commuters in Oregon and SW Washington, markets the Metro VanPool program and promotes the regional Drive Less, Save More campaign. As an incentive to vanpool, Metro pays up to 50 percent of the van lease cost, while Oregon’s Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) can provide a tax credit up to 35 percent of the cost.

Clean River Rewards Program
Clean River Rewards is Portland’s stormwater discount program. Ratepayers can receive up to a 100% discount on their on-site stormwater utility fee for managing stormwater on their property. Staff can recommend appropriate stormwater management options and help register for the discount.

Community Watershed Stewardship Program
The Community Watershed Stewardship Program provides funding, up to $10,000 per project, for activities that promote watershed protection and enhancement. Assistance is available for project planning and connecting applicants to project resources and community organizations.

Ecoroof Incentive Program
The Ecoroof incentive program offers funds and free technical assistance to property owners who install an ecoroof in place of conventional roofing. An ecoroof is a lightweight, vegetated roof system that manages stormwater while providing building energy savings, a longer roof life, and multiple environmental benefits.

Sustainable Stormwater Management Program
Staff from the Sustainable Stormwater Management Program can answer questions about landscaped systems like stormwater planters, bioswales, rain gardens, and eco-roofs to manage runoff from your site while providing multiple environmental benefits.

The Portland Water Bureau’s Commercial Conservation Program offers small businesses customized technical assistance for reducing their water usage. Staff can provide answers to specific questions, create a water-use history report, identify potential savings and provide an on-site evaluation of water-using devices based on your specific needs.
